That feeling of Langen longing
"Achingly beautiful, high-performance motorcycles"
The company, which describes itself as "one of the leading automotive engineering and development companies, specialising in hand-built, limited production motorcycles" says this offering continues to demonstrate its ability "to build achingly beautiful, high-performance motorcycles using the very best components, fuelled by the team's passion to combine innovation with emotion".
The LightSpeed follows the company's first production motorcycle, The Two Stroke, and has a power to weight ratio of 1
,000hp (745kW) per tonne. It makes use of carbon fibre bodywork on high-tensile steel tubular frame, Ohlins front forks and rear shock absorbers and Hel performance callipers on 320mm twin floating front discs.
Power is provided by a liquid-cooled, transverse 72-degree V-Twin, Rotax engine. Bred on the racetrack and made by Buell Motorcycles, this motor has been tweaked by Langen to deliver 185hp (138kW) at 10,600 rpm to the crankshaft.
Customers in the United Kingdom will have access to a limited edition of 185 bespoke units, and while build slots are already on offer, delivery is expected in early 2025. As for customers elsewhere in the world, models will be available in limited numbers from 2026.
